The process is a craftsmanship art. The man's hefty force and handling ability plays a great role in its manufacturing. The diversity of their designs and color depict the evolutions of each period. It is time resistant, and it conserves its original appearance from the time it is installed. It has become a tradition to retain the high quality of our craftsmanship. Our tiles adapt very well to today's taste and modern life style due to the versatility of their colors and design. There are two types of tile process:

1)      The pressed tiles of 6 x 6, hexagonal, 8 x 8 and 12 x 12 are made in a press machine. They can be solid color tiles, color tiles with swirls and the specialty, which is the mold tile or design tile which is made in diverse types of molds that imitates geometrical figures or flowers, etc. The process consists of preparing first the paste that will eventually be the face of the tile. This paste is made of white cement, fine sand and the pigments for the colors. This paste is poured by hand into the mold cells, and then is covered in the back part with a fine soil to absorb the humidity and another layer of sand product. A heavy lid is placed in the back of the mold, and entered right under the machines piston and pressed to a certain number of pounds. This last step is the only no-man intervention in the process. The dice is withdrawn and the specialist called "mosaista" takes out the tile by hand. The tile is then placed in water for some hours to give it strength and later placed into a crib until it dries and is then ready for installation.

2)      The vibrated tile of 18 x 18,  24 x 24, octagonal shape with inserts, Marmoline and Keystone Texture are made differently. Due to its size it is not possible to make it with mold. The process consists of making the paste, pouring it into a metallic basin of the given size. Then it is electrically vibrated on a table in order to expurgate any air bubbles and then is set to rest for some hours until the paste is almost dry and then a mixture of cement and gravel is poured in the back of the paste and set to rest until the following day when its ready to be taken out and is set for installation.
